In 1967 I was a wee 7YO, just barely aware of my own existence when my attention was
diverted to a sporting event on television. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was watching
my first Daytona 500 and beginning a life long passion for speed and performance.
I began fooling around with my own engines after pricing some machine work at the local
speed shop. It's a great shop, in business to this day but on a pizza job salary the tariff was
just to steep. Tools however are much less expensive (or so it seemed!) so I picked up
some hand tools and a career was born.
Fast forward to 1990, I started a job at one of the worlds largest bearing manufacturers as
an apprentice machinist and was able to round out my tradesman's skills to manufacturing
and machine work. It was also at this time that i was introduced to the world of computers
and what was at that time the ethernet.
In 1995 my own driving career began to take off a little, and I was getting more and more
people wanting everything from 500ci monsters to Briggs for roto-tillers. The job was
costing me money, and the company couldn't understand that there is a life outside of the
plant so I went full time in the performance business.
